Move and Transport Waxed Coral Blocks

Harvesting Waxed Coral

Waxed coral blocks can be safely moved without turning into dead coral, making them ideal for building and decoration.

Steps:

1. Wax your coral blocks using honeycomb (see: Wax Coral Blocks to Prevent Drying)

2. Break the waxed coral with any tool or by hand

3. Pick up the block—it will drop as an item

4. Transport it anywhere: in your inventory, through the Nether, or across dimensions

5. Place it in your desired location

Key Advantage

Unwaxed coral blocks will die if removed from water, turning into dead coral. Waxed coral blocks skip this entirely. This means you can:

• Build coral structures far from oceans
• Create coral decorations in your base
• Transport coral long distances without loss
• Store coral blocks in chests indefinitely

Always wax coral *before* moving it to ensure it survives the journey.
