Maximize Storage on a Single Shelf
Understanding Box Capacity
You have two options for storing items on a shelf: small
cardboard boxes and large cardboard boxes. Small boxes hold fewer items but allow you to stack multiple boxes vertically on one shelf. Large boxes hold significantly more items but occupy the entire shelf space.
Stack Small Boxes for Maximum Slots
Craft multiple small cardboard boxes and place them on a single shelf. You can stack up to three small boxes vertically on one shelf. This configuration gives you the most total storage slots from a single shelf unit, making it ideal if you have limited space or want a tall, narrow storage tower.
Use a Large Box for Convenience
If you prefer easier access and don't mind using more shelf space, place a single
large cardboard box on a shelf instead. A large box provides storage equivalent to a double chest, giving you substantial capacity in one convenient location.
Plan Your Layout
Mix and match small and large boxes across multiple shelves to suit your storage needs. Small boxes work well for organizing specific item types, while large boxes are better for bulk storage.
