Override Game Resources Using the Asset Manager
Accessing the Asset Manager
Open the asset manager tool from the mod's interface. It displays both client and server resources in a browsable hierarchy. You can view default Minecraft models, textures, and custom mod assets.
Viewing and Replacing Models
Navigate to a resource you want to override—for example, a tool or block model. The viewer shows the current model in 3D. To replace it, import your custom model file (glTF, GLB, OBJ, or geo.json format). The asset manager will apply your version instead of the default.
Managing Textures and Variants
You can also override textures and adjust how resources appear in different contexts. Changes take effect immediately in the game world without requiring a restart.
Scope of Changes
Overrides are scoped to your modpack or server. Other players on the same server see your custom resources if they're configured server-side. Client-side overrides affect only your game view.
