Build a Cutscene with Camera Movement and Weather Effects
Creating the Cutscene
Open the built-in cutscene editor from the mod's main menu or in-game interface. Create a new cutscene and set its duration. The timeline will appear at the bottom, ready for keyframes.
Adding Camera Keyframes
Use the camera control tools to position your viewpoint at the start of the cutscene. Click to add a keyframe on the timeline. Move to a different time and adjust the camera angle, position, and zoom—add another keyframe. The camera will smoothly interpolate between keyframes during playback.
Applying Environmental Changes
On the timeline, add keyframes for time changes (day/night transitions) and weather settings (rain, clear skies). Coordinate these with your camera movements for dramatic effect. For example, darken the sky while panning to a distant landmark.
Testing and Triggering
Preview your cutscene in the editor. Once satisfied, attach it to a script trigger—player proximity, quest completion, or dialogue choice. Test in-game to ensure timing and visuals match your intent.
