Progress Through Crafting Tiers and Unlock Metal Tools

Understand the Tier System

Voidbound Resolve uses a crafting tier system. You start with basic wooden tools, but advancing requires higher-level crafting benches. Each tier unlocks new recipes and stronger equipment.

Reach Iron Tier

1. Mine stone with your wooden pickaxe and upgrade to a stone pickaxe

2. Find iron ore deep underground (requires stone pickaxe or better)

3. Smelt iron ore in a Cobblestone Furnace using coal as fuel

4. Craft iron tools at a standard crafting bench

5. Once you craft a metal tool, villages will begin generating far from spawn (after 10 in-game days)

Progress to Higher Tiers

Each metal tier requires a specialized furnace:

• Copper and Silver: Cobblestone Furnace
• Mithril: Obsidian Furnace (requires Lava Bucket fuel)
• Adamantium: Netherrack Furnace (requires Blaze Rods)

Crafting metal items takes significantly longer than wooden or stone recipes. Plan ahead and start smelting early. Higher tiers grant better durability and damage, but require patience and resource investment.
