Find and Mine Emerald Ore

Where to Look

Emerald ore spawns naturally in mountain biomes. Search at any height, but concentrate your efforts in areas with exposed stone and rocky terrain. You can also find emeralds in loot chests throughout the world—check mineshafts, strongholds, and other generated structures.

Mining Tips

Use a pickaxe (iron tier or better) to break emerald ore and collect the raw emerald. A pickaxe with Fortune enchantment will increase your yield, though the mod's emerald tools already provide built-in Fortune bonuses.

Once you have emeralds, you can craft them into tools and armor at a standard crafting table. Don't trade emeralds to villagers for other items—villagers now accept Trading Gems as currency instead, keeping your mined emeralds free for crafting high-tier gear.

Stockpiling Strategy

Collect multiple emeralds before committing to a full armor set. A complete emerald armor suit requires several emeralds, so gather extras for tools and weapons too. Check multiple mountain biomes and loot chests to build your supply efficiently.
