Treat a Bone Fracture and Regain Mobility
Diagnose the Fracture
Press H and inspect your body status panel for indicators of broken or fractured bones. Fractured limbs will show reduced movement speed and may prevent certain actions like eating or climbing. The panel identifies which bone is damaged.
Immobilize the Injury
Craft a
splint or cast appropriate for the injured bone. Apply it to the fractured limb through your status panel. This stops the fracture from worsening and begins the healing process, though you'll
still experience mobility penalties while it sets.
Bone fractures take time to mend. Keep the splint in place and avoid strenuous activity. Your movement will gradually improve as the fracture stabilizes.
Remove and Recover
Once the fracture has sufficiently healed, remove the splint from your status panel. You'll regain full mobility. If the bone was severe, consider having a teammate perform surgery to set it properly—this speeds recovery and prevents permanent complications like chronic pain or reduced strength.
