Manage Blood Type and Perform a Safe Transfusion

Check Your Blood Type

Press H to open your body status panel. Your assigned blood type is displayed in your vital signs. Blood types matter when you've lost significant blood volume—transfusions must match your type or you risk severe rejection.

Locate Compatible Donor Blood

Find a teammate with the same blood type, or locate stored blood bags in medical supplies that match your type. Some blood types are universal donors or recipients—check your panel for compatibility information.

Prepare for Transfusion

Craft or gather transfusion equipment: IV lines, blood bags, and sterile tubing. Have your teammate or medical helper administer the transfusion through your status panel. You must remain still during the procedure.

Monitor Vitals After Transfusion

Watch your blood pressure and oxygen levels stabilize as the transfusion completes. Incorrect blood type transfusions cause immediate rejection—symptoms appear quickly in your status panel. If rejection occurs, seek emergency treatment to flush your system and stabilize your condition.
