How to Use the Visual Workbench as a Display Block on a Server

What makes it decorative

Because the Visual Workbench renders the contents of its crafting grid on the block surface, you can use it as a small showcase rather than just a crafting station. Anything placed in the grid becomes a visible 3D arrangement on top of the block.

Setting up a display

1. Craft and place the Visual Workbench where you want the display — a shop counter, a trophy room, or a spawn hub works well.

2. Open it and arrange items in the grid the way you want them to appear. The layout in the grid matches the layout shown on the block, so experiment with corners and center slots to get the composition you like.

3. Close the interface and step back to check the render from a few angles.

4. If you want to change the display, reopen the block and swap items in and out. The block updates immediately.

Server considerations

On multiplayer servers the stored items belong to the block, not to a player, so anyone with access to the block can open it and take what is inside. Do not use it to store valuables on a public server unless the area is protected. For shops, keep only the sample items you want customers to see, and restock from a separate chest.
