Comparing Ore Visibility Across Different Block Types

Understanding What the Pack Changes

Visible Ores enhances the appearance of ore blocks found in different stone types—stone, deepslate, tuff, and other variants. Each ore type gets its own visual treatment to maximize contrast and recognition.

How Ores Stand Out

1. Stone ores — ores in regular stone (coal, iron, gold, etc.) gain enhanced textures and brighter or more saturated colors, making them pop against gray stone.

2. Deepslate ores — deep-level ores get even more dramatic treatment since deepslate is darker. The pack ensures these remain clearly visible despite the darker background.

3. Rare ore tiers — diamond, emerald, and other rare ores typically receive the most noticeable visual upgrades, making them impossible to miss.

4. Consistency — each ore maintains its color identity (copper is orange, lapis is blue, etc.) but with enhanced clarity and detail.

Practical Use

Learn which ores have the strongest visual contrast in your game. This helps you prioritize what to look for—rare ores will be easiest to spot, while common ores may still require active scanning even with the pack enabled.
