Ensure the Resource Pack Works Correctly

Meet Technical Requirements

Visible Enchanted Books relies on advanced texture replacement features that vanilla Minecraft doesn't support natively. You must have the right mod installed for the custom book designs to appear.

Required Setup

1. Install either OptiFine or CIT Resewn. The resource pack cannot function without one of these mods—they enable Custom Item Textures (CIT), the technology that swaps book appearances based on their enchantments.

2. Verify your mod is active. Check your mod list in the launcher to confirm OptiFine or CIT Resewn is loaded.

3. Load the resource pack. Add Visible Enchanted Books to your resource packs folder and enable it in-game. It should appear in your active packs list.

4. Test in-game. Open your inventory and look at an enchanted book. You should see a unique colored cover instead of the default purple-and-glowing book texture.

Troubleshooting

If books still look vanilla, restart your game after installing the mod and resource pack. Make sure CIT Resewn or OptiFine is listed *before* the resource pack loads.

Without these mods, the pack cannot display its custom designs.
