Smelt Coins Back into Metal Ingots

Convert Coins to Crafting Materials

If you'd rather have metal ingots than coins, you can melt down Copper, Iron, and Gold coins in a furnace to recover the raw materials.

Smelt in a Furnace

1. Open a furnace

2. Place Copper, Iron, or Gold coins in the top slot

3. Add fuel (coal, wood, etc.) to the bottom slot

4.

5. Collect your metal ingots from the output slot

Each coin type produces one ingot of the corresponding metal. This is useful if you've accumulated more coins than you need for trading and want to craft armor, tools, or other metal items instead.

Note

Emerald and Netherite coins cannot be smelted—these high-tier coins are crafted items and are meant to stay as currency for the most valuable trades.
