Convert Your First Copper Coins into Iron

Gather Your Copper

Defeat mobs around your world to collect Copper coins, or search chests in structures like villages and dungeons. You'll need at least 100 Copper coins to make the upgrade.

Combine at a Crafting Table

1. Open your crafting table

2. Place 100 Copper coins anywhere in the crafting grid

3. Take the resulting Iron coin from the output slot

You can combine more than 100 at once—the crafting table will convert every full set of 100 into one Iron coin, leaving any remainder behind. For example, 250 Copper becomes 2 Iron and 50 Copper.

Why Upgrade?

Iron coins take up far less inventory space and are accepted by mid-level villagers. This is especially useful when you're collecting large amounts of wealth, since coins stack up to 1,000 per slot. Converting early and often keeps your inventory manageable as you progress toward Gold and higher tiers.
