Set Up an Automated Log Farm with Choppers
Gather Materials
Collect or craft several Choppers, a
Conveyor belt system, and at least one
Container. You'll also need a way to supply logs—either plant trees nearby or use a tree farm.
Build the Automation Line
1. Place logs on a Conveyor belt leading toward a
Chopper
2. Position the Chopper so its output faces another Conveyor or Container
3. The Chopper will automatically convert logs into stripped wood as items pass through
4. Connect a Container at the end to collect stripped wood in bulk storage
Optimize Flow
If logs pile up, add more Choppers in parallel or increase Conveyor speed by chaining multiple belts. You can also use a Fan to push logs toward the Chopper entrance if needed. For large-scale farms, consider using multiple Choppers feeding into a single Container to maximize throughput.
The Chopper also breaks stone into cobblestone and crushes ore blocks, so you can repurpose this setup for other materials once you're done with wood processing.
