Troubleshoot Flat or Washed-Out Textures
Verify Shader Compatibility
Confirm you're using one of the officially supported shaders: Complementary, BSL, Photon, Sundial, Nostalgia, Kappa, Bliss, or SEUS GFME. Unsupported shaders may not render LabPBR data correctly, resulting in flat-looking blocks.
Check All LabPBR Settings
Return to your shader options and verify:
- LabPBR/PBR Mode is on
- Parallax Mapping is on
- Ambient Occlusion is on
- Normal maps are enabled (if your shader has this option)
Even one disabled setting will reduce visual depth significantly.
Adjust Graphics Settings
If textures appear washed out:
- Increase shadow distance and quality in shader settings
- Ensure brightness/contrast isn't set too high
- Check that texture filtering is set to linear or trilinear (not nearest)
Verify Resource Pack Priority
Make sure Vibrant PBR is loaded above any other resource packs in your pack list. Conflicting packs can override its textures.
Test in Different Locations
Some biomes and lighting conditions reveal detail better than others. Visit caves, forests, and areas with varied lighting to confirm the pack is working.
