Set Up Your First Speaker and Play Music

Prepare Your Music Files

Place your custom .ogg audio files into subfolders within config/stagebox/music. Each subfolder becomes a playlist—organize by genre, mood, or event type for easy access during playback.

Install and Connect Your Speaker

1. Place a Speaker block in your world where you want sound to emit from.

2. Place a DJ Controller booth nearby—this is your command center for all playback.

3. Connect the speaker to the DJ Controller using cables. Run the cable from the speaker's connection point to the controller's input port.

4. Open the DJ Controller interface by right-clicking it.

Start Playback

Inside the controller interface, you'll see your playlists listed. Select the playlist you want, adjust the volume slider to your preference, and press play. The speaker cone will animate and pulse while music plays. You can pause, skip tracks, and switch playlists without stopping—all from the controller interface.

Tip: Place vanilla parrots near active speakers to watch them dance along with your music.
