Preparing Your Cannon

Start with a functional cannon built using Create Big Cannons. Your cannon needs a valid mounting point—typically the top or side of the cannon barrel assembly where blocks can attach.

Installing the Tank Sight

1. Craft or obtain a tank sight block from the mod

2. Place it on your cannon's mounting point, ensuring it aligns with the barrel direction

3. The sight should snap into position automatically

4. Test the placement by looking through it—your view should align with where the cannon fires

Adjusting Pitch Alignment

The tank sight includes a pitch adjustment mechanism that matches your cannon's tilt angle. Use the adjustment controls (typically right-click or a keybind) to rotate the sight's internal angle until the crosshair aligns with your cannon's actual firing trajectory. This ensures your visual aim matches your actual shots.

Once aligned, your sight is ready for firing. The sight will maintain this pitch relationship as you aim, giving you accurate targeting feedback before you fire.
