Understanding Magnetic Track

Magnetic Track blocks allow you to speed up or slow down minecarts as they pass through. Craft these blocks and place them along your curved rail sections where you want speed control.

Setting Speed with Redstone Power

Magnetic Track responds to redstone signals. When powered by redstone, it will boost minecarts forward. When unpowered, it acts as a brake. Connect redstone dust, repeaters, or other power sources to the magnetic track blocks to control when speed changes occur.

For example, power magnetic track sections before steep climbs to give carts momentum, or leave them unpowered on fast downhill sections to slow riders down safely.

Fine-Tuning Your Ride

Test different redstone configurations to find the right speed balance for your roller coaster. You can create complex speed patterns by mixing powered and unpowered magnetic sections, giving riders a dynamic experience throughout the track.
