Fixing Veinmining That Stopped Working

Check the Enchantment First

The most common cause is a tool without the Veinmine enchantment. Open your inventory and hover the tool; if the Veinmine line is missing, the tool cannot veinmine regardless of any other setting. Enchant it or apply a book.

Check the Block and Vein Size

Even an enchanted tool only works on blocks the main Veinminer mod allows. If you are mining a block type that is not on the allowed list, or a vein larger than the configured maximum, only the single block breaks. Try a known ore vein or tree to confirm the enchantment itself is working.

Check Config Changes

If veinmining worked before and stopped after you edited configs, a setting may have disabled it or changed the allowed blocks. Revert recent changes and reload. On a server, confirm the server's config is the one being used, since client-side edits do not affect server behavior.

Check Tool Durability and State

A broken or nearly broken tool, or one in an unexpected state, may not trigger the effect. Repair or replace it and test again. If the enchantment is present, the block is valid, and the config is unchanged, restart the game to clear any stale state.
