How to Clear Corrupted Spores Before They Spread

Locate Corrupted Spores

Corrupted Spores appear as floating red particles across dark biomes, particularly in the Hazed Plains. They're most visible at night or in heavily fogged areas. Scout your territory systematically, marking their locations as you find them.

Destroy Spores Quickly

Approach each Corrupted Spore and destroy it before moving to the next. Use any standard mining tool or weapon—spores are fragile. The key is speed: if you leave spores unattended, they will multiply and spawn Corruptinies, which spread corruption further across your landscape.

Prevent Multiplication

If the AllowCorruptedPlague game rule is enabled, spores multiply over time. Prioritize clearing them in areas near your base or important structures. Check back regularly to ensure new spores haven't spawned in cleared zones.

Manage Corruption Long-Term

Make spore clearing a routine task. Explore your world periodically and eliminate any spores you find. This prevents Corruptinies from establishing populations and keeps your world safer for building and exploration.
