Build Safe Bridges Between Grid Points

Plan Your Route

Before jumping to distant grid blocks, identify your target and plan a path of intermediate blocks if possible. Look for chains of nearby grid points that form a rough line toward resources you need. Avoid long gaps between blocks—the grid spacing makes some jumps risky, especially while carrying items.

Construct Bridges Methodically

When jumping between distant grid points, carry building blocks (wood, dirt, or stone). Jump to an intermediate block, then place blocks behind you to create a bridge. This gives you a retreat path and reduces fall risk. Build bridges only as wide as you need—one block wide is sufficient but requires careful movement. Always look down to confirm block placement before jumping forward.

Mark Your Paths

Use torches or a distinctive block type to mark bridges you've built. This prevents confusion when returning in low light and helps you recognize safe routes. Over time, your marked bridges create a visible network across the grid, making navigation faster and safer for future expeditions.
