Keeping Track of Build Plans and To-Do Lists in the Notebook

Planning a Build

Before you place a single block, open the notebook and sketch out your plan in text. List the materials you need, the dimensions you want, and the order of construction. For example, write the block types and approximate counts so you know what to gather before you start.

Turning Plans into To-Do Lists

Break a large project into smaller tasks and write them as a checklist. Tick items off mentally or rewrite the page as you complete each step. This keeps you from wandering off to gather one missing material and forgetting what you were doing.

Tracking Materials

Create a dedicated page for materials. List each block or item and the amount you still need. When you return from mining or trading, update the list. Because the notebook is always one click away, updating it takes seconds compared to opening a separate program.

Multi-Session Projects

Large builds often span many play sessions. Use page breaks to separate phases: foundation, walls, roof, interior. When you log back in, open the notebook first and read your last page to remember exactly where you left off. This turns the notebook into a lightweight project journal that fits the vanilla aesthetic.
