How to Open the Notebook and Write Your First Note

Finding the Notebook Button

Once the mod is installed, a small notebook icon appears somewhere in your inventory or HUD interface. Look for it near the edges of your inventory screen or as a dedicated button in your GUI. The exact placement follows vanilla styling, so it blends in rather than standing out. Click or press the bound key to open the notebook overlay.

Writing and Saving

When the notebook opens, you get a blank page similar to a written book. Click into the text area and start typing your note. You can write coordinates, a to-do list, or a reminder about where you left your items. The notebook behaves like a virtual book, so you flip through pages rather than scrolling a single long document.

To keep your note, simply close the notebook interface. There is no separate save button in most versions; the text persists automatically. Reopen the notebook later and your entry should still be there.

Practical Tips

  • Keep entries short so you can find them quickly.
  • Use one page per topic: one for coordinates, one for plans, one for reminders.
  • If you play on a server, remember the notebook is client-side, so notes are personal to you and not shared with other players.
