Use Enchantments Effectively on New Weapons

Apply Standard Enchantments

All Vanilla Armory weapons support vanilla Minecraft enchantments. You can enchant them at an enchanting table, apply enchantment books using an anvil, or find enchanted versions through loot. Weapons benefit from Sharpness, Knockback, Fire Aspect, Looting, and Unbreaking just like standard swords.

Optimize for Your Weapon Type

Heavy two-handed weapons benefit greatly from Sharpness and Knockback, amplifying their already powerful impact. Unbreaking is valuable since these weapons see heavy use per swing.

Quick one-handed weapons pair well with Looting for mob farms and Sweeping Edge (if available) to maximize multi-target damage.

Long-reach weapons work excellently with Knockback to create distance, and Looting to reward the extra effort of reaching enemies.

Durability Management

Apply Unbreaking to any weapon you plan to use regularly. This reduces durability loss and extends the time between repairs. Combine Unbreaking with Mending if you have access to experience, creating a self-repairing weapon that lasts indefinitely.

Experiment with Combinations

Try different enchantment combinations to match your playstyle. A Greatsword with Sharpness and Knockback plays differently than one with Fire Aspect and Looting.
