Enable 3D Models on Specific Blocks

Understanding Block Coverage

Vanilla 3D Extension adds depth to many common blocks, but not every single block in the game receives a 3D model. The pack prioritizes utility and decorative blocks that benefit most from added detail—like crafting tables, enchanting tables, furnaces, and natural blocks such as grass and bookshelves.

Checking Which Blocks Are Enhanced

The easiest way to see all updated blocks is to load the optional showcase world map that comes with the pack. This world displays examples of every block that now has 3D depth, so you can walk around and see exactly what's been changed.

If you want to verify a specific block in your own world, simply place it and look at it from different angles. 3D blocks will show visible depth and detail on their surfaces instead of appearing completely flat.

What to Expect

Blocks like furnaces, blast furnaces, crafting tables, enchanting tables, anvils, stonecutters, looms, and brewing stands all receive noticeable 3D treatment. Natural blocks like tall grass and bookshelves also gain dimension. The changes are subtle enough to preserve Minecraft's classic aesthetic while making your world feel more detailed.
