Upgrade Your Vest to the Next Tier

Gather Materials for Your Upgrade

Each vest tier requires materials from the tier above it. To upgrade from leather to iron, collect iron ingots. For iron to gold, gather gold ingots. Diamond and netherite upgrades follow the same pattern—use the appropriate ore ingots plus your current vest.

Craft the Upgraded Vest

Place your current vest and the required ingots in a crafting table following the upgrade recipe. The result is your vest with all previous saves intact—you don't lose your hotbar setups when you upgrade.

Unlock More Hotbar Slots

Each upgrade gives you additional saved rows. A leather vest holds one setup, iron holds two, gold holds three, diamond holds four, and netherite holds five. Plan your upgrades based on how many different loadouts you need for your playstyle.
