How to Find and Mine Ore Blocks

Locating Ore Deposits

Useful Foundation Mod adds naturally generated ore blocks for copper, tin, nickel, lead, silver, and uranium throughout your world. These ores spawn at various heights and biomes, similar to vanilla ores. Use a cave explorer or strip mining technique to locate them.

Mining and Collection

1. Prepare your tools: Use an iron pickaxe or better to mine these ores. Stone or wooden pickaxes will not drop the ore blocks.

2. Mine the ore: Break the ore block with your pickaxe to collect the raw ore.

3. Smelt or process: Take your raw ore to a furnace or smelter to convert it into ingots. Some materials may require additional processing steps depending on your mod version.

4. Collect nuggets: When smelting, you may also obtain nuggets as byproducts—these are useful for crafting smaller quantities or combining back into ingots.

Copper and tin are relatively common, while silver and uranium are rarer and found deeper underground. Prioritize exploring caves and mining at lower Y-levels for better yields of the rarer materials.
