Choose the Right Resolution for Your Computer
Understanding Resolution Options
The URBAN pack comes in four resolution sizes: 128x, 256x, 512x, and 1024x. Higher resolutions mean more detailed textures but require more video memory (VRAM) and processing power. Your choice depends on your GPU and how much lag you're willing to tolerate.
How to Select Your Resolution
1. Start with 128x or 256x if you have a mid-range GPU or limited VRAM (under 4GB dedicated)
2. Use 512x if you have a modern graphics card with 6GB+ VRAM and want noticeable detail without heavy performance loss
3. Choose 1024x only if you have a high-end GPU (RTX 3070 or better) and want maximum visual fidelity
Testing Your Choice
Load into a world and check your FPS. If you're getting 30+ FPS in complex areas with a shader enabled, your resolution choice is good. If FPS drops below 20, step down one resolution tier. You can always switch resolutions later by selecting a different pack file—no world data is lost.
