Understand Rarity Tiers and Drop Rates

The Four Rarity Tiers

Upper Shell Shift Mod uses four rarity levels to control how often items appear when you open a case:

  • Common: Most frequent drops
  • Rare: Less frequent than Common
  • Epic: Uncommon rewards
  • Legendary: Rarest items

Configuring Drop Chances

When you select an item in your Casing Station, you can assign it a rarity tier. Items in higher tiers drop less frequently. The mod automatically calculates drop probabilities based on tier distribution—if you have five Common items and one Legendary item, the Legendary item will appear far less often.

Quantity Ranges

Beyond rarity, each item has a drop amount range. For stackable items like arrows or food, set minimum and maximum quantities (e.g., 1–64 arrows). For unstackable items like armor or tools, the quantity is always 1.

Balancing Your Cases

Mix tiers strategically: load Common tiers with useful basics, Rare with better tools, Epic with enchanted gear, and Legendary with special items like music discs or boss drops for exciting rewards.
