Getting Started with Universal Masonry Spectrum Mod

Building with New Block Variants

This mod expands Minecraft's construction palette by adding decorative variants to existing materials. For each stone type—granite, diorite, andesite, calcite, tuff, deepslate, and more—you'll find bricks, tiles, pillars, shingles, and chiseled versions. Wood types gain mosaics, columns, and lattices, while terracotta receives brick and shingle blocks in all sixteen colors.

Specialty materials also receive treatment: sandstone gets weathered and smooth brick options, while prismarine, netherrack, and nether bricks gain their own decorative variants. You can also craft with packed dirt, snow, and ice for winter builds, plus glass mosaics and Japanese-style paper walls for detailed interiors.

All blocks follow standard Minecraft crafting and placement mechanics—simply gather the base material and craft the variant you need.
