Designing a Custom Ocean Liner
Conceptualize Your Vessel
Decide your liner's purpose and era. Will it be a modern cruise ship, a vintage 1920s liner, or a fantasy vessel? Sketch basic proportions: length, width, and height. Consider how many decks you want and what each will contain.
Plan Deck Layouts
Design each deck's function. Lower decks might house engines and crew quarters. Middle decks could feature cabins and dining areas. Upper decks work well for observation areas, bridges, and luxury suites. Sketch room arrangements to maximize space and flow.
Build Systematically
Start with the hull and basic structure. Work deck by deck from bottom to top. This prevents you from getting overwhelmed and lets you test proportions as you build.
Utilize Uncharted Seas Variety
Explore all available blocks—walls, railings, doors, furniture, and decorative pieces. Mix block types to create visual hierarchy and authentic ship aesthetics. Use different block styles for different areas: crew spaces versus passenger areas should feel distinct.
Refine and Personalize
Add unique features that make your liner memorable: a grand atrium, observation deck with special railings, or themed dining halls. Include small details like portholes, signage, and lighting fixtures. These touches transform a functional ship into an immersive roleplay environment.
