How to Avoid Stalling Your Plane
Understanding Stall Speed
Every plane has a minimum speed required to stay airborne. Flying too slowly causes a stall, which will make your plane drop from the sky. Stall speed varies by plane type—lighter planes like the Bush plane can fly slower than heavier cargo planes.
Preventing Stalls
1. Maintain steady throttle while flying level
2. Watch your speed on the flight overlay
3. When descending to land, reduce throttle gradually rather than cutting it suddenly
4. Avoid sharp turns at low speeds
5. If you feel yourself dropping, increase throttle immediately
Landing Without Stalling
The key to safe landings is managing your descent rate. Fly toward your runway at a controlled speed, then slowly reduce throttle as you approach. Decrease your vertical speed (using W and S keys) to level out just above the ground. Only when you're nearly touching down should throttle be at minimum. This gives you enough airspeed to stay aloft while still slowing down safely.
