Maximizing Water Combat with Turtle Armor
Understanding Your Water Bonuses
When wearing Turtle Armor pieces above water, you gain Dolphin's Grace—a speed boost that makes you significantly faster in aquatic environments. The full set provides cumulative benefits: the Chestplate grants the longest duration (10 seconds), while the Poleyns and Boots each add their own 10-second windows.
Combat Strategy
Use Dolphin's Grace to outmaneuver aquatic mobs and players:
- Positioning: Stay above the water surface to maintain active effects
- Evasion: Use the speed boost to dodge attacks from Drowned and Guardian mobs
- Pursuit: Chase down fleeing enemies with superior mobility
- Stacking: Wear multiple pieces to extend effect duration between refreshes
Pairing with Other Gear
Combine Turtle Armor's Resistance effects (Resistance II from the Chestplate, Resistance I from Poleyns) with a Respiration helmet or Aqua Affinity boots for complete water dominance. The knockback resistance from the Helmet also prevents you from being pushed away during intense underwater battles.
