Pick a Lock Using the Minigame

Understand the Pin Matching System

Each lock tier has a set number of pins that must be aligned correctly. The minigame displays your current guess and the target alignment. Every wrong guess costs durability from your lock pick tool, but lock picks stack to 64 and only one pick degrades per attempt—the rest remain undamaged.

Attempt the Lock

Hold a lock pick of appropriate tier (or higher) and right-click on a locked block. The minigame interface opens, showing the pins you need to match. Study the visual feedback carefully—pins that are correctly positioned will show alignment indicators.

Manage Your Attempts

Each guess tests your lock pick's durability. Higher-tier locks have more pins and are harder to guess correctly, consuming picks faster. If your pick breaks mid-attempt, grab another from your stack and continue—you won't lose progress on the lock itself.

Bypass with Enchantments

If the lock has the Auto-Pick enchantment, you have a chance to open it instantly without playing the minigame. The Complexity enchantment may prevent lower-tier picks from working at all, forcing you to use a higher-tier tool.
