Optimize Performance When Many Mobs Are Visible
Access Performance Settings
Open the mod configuration and locate the performance or optimization section. This controls how many entities can display bars and numbers simultaneously.
Reduce Rendering Load
Lower performance impact by:
- Decreasing health bar opacity — transparent bars render faster than solid ones
- Reducing floating number duration — shorter-lived damage numbers mean fewer particles on screen
- Limiting bar render distance — only show bars for nearby mobs, not distant ones
- Disabling particle effects — turn off critical hit flourishes during intense combat
- Simplifying status panels — show fewer details in the on-screen HUD
Adjust Update Frequency
Some settings control how often bars refresh. Lowering update rate slightly reduces CPU usage without noticeably affecting gameplay.
Test in Crowded Scenarios
Spawn multiple mobs or visit a busy area to confirm your changes improve frame rate. If performance is still poor, disable overhead bars entirely and rely only on the screen HUD for critical targets.
