Viewing Your Tools in 3D While Playing
See Your Tools in First Person
The main feature of Trusty Tools is seeing your equipped items as chunky 3D models instead of flat sprites. When you hold any tool or weapon in your main hand, the resource pack replaces the flat item texture with a detailed 3D model.
What Tools Get the 3D Treatment
Equip any of these items to see them rendered in 3D:
- Pickaxes, shovels, axes, and hoes in all material tiers
- Swords (stone, iron, diamond, netherite, and others)
- Bow and crossbow with detailed aiming models
Mace with a completely redesigned 3D shape- Shield when held in your off-hand
Tips for Best Viewing
The 3D models are most visible when you're actively holding the tool or weapon. Try swinging a sword in combat or mining blocks with a pickaxe to see the full chunky geometry in action. The models maintain Minecraft's blocky aesthetic while adding depth and thickness that makes tools feel more substantial and satisfying to use.
