How to Stop Boats From Causing Fall Damage When You Dismount
What the Fix Actually Does
By default, Minecraft can apply fall damage to you when you exit a boat in certain situations — most commonly when you dismount while the boat is still falling, or when you step out over a drop. The Trenzalore Mod's boat fall damage fix removes that damage source entirely, so dismounting a boat never hurts you. This is a passive tweak: once the mod is loaded, the behavior is already active. There is nothing you need to craft, equip, or toggle in-game.
Verifying It Works
1. Build a tall pillar or find a cliff with water or a solid block at the bottom.
2. Place a boat on top and ride it off the edge, or place a boat at the top and ride it down.
3. Dismount while the boat is still in motion or mid-fall.
4. Confirm you take no fall damage on landing.
If you still take damage, the fix is not being applied — check that the mod is actually loaded for your game instance and that no other mod is overriding boat dismount behavior. Because this is a compatibility tweak rather than a content mod, it does not add any items or blocks, so there is no config screen item to look for in your inventory. If your mod loader provides a config file for Trenzalore, the boat fix is one of the toggles there; leave it enabled to keep the protection.
