How to Make Jungle Temple Trap Arrows Poisonous
What Changes in the Temple
Jungle temples contain dispenser traps that fire arrows when you trip a tripwire. With the Trenzalore Mod installed, the arrows those traps fire are replaced with poison arrows. That means a triggered trap now applies the poison effect on top of the normal arrow damage, making temple exploration noticeably more dangerous.
What You Need to Know Before Entering
This is an automatic world-generation/behavior change — you do not craft or place anything. The traps simply fire the new arrow type. There is no item to collect and no recipe to learn.
1. Locate a jungle temple (they generate in jungle biomes).
2. Approach the trap corridors carefully — the tripwires are usually strung across the hallway near the dispensers.
3. Bring milk buckets. Drinking milk clears the poison effect, which is the fastest way to recover after setting off a trap.
4. Carry healing food or golden apples so you can outlast the poison damage.
Surviving the Traps
- Disarm traps before walking through: break the tripwire string or the dispenser itself from a safe angle.
- If you do trigger a trap, back out of the corridor immediately rather than pushing forward into more dispensers.
- Poison does not stack in intensity, but repeated hits refresh its duration, so avoid standing in the line of fire.
Because the arrows are now poisonous, the temple's loot chests are worth the extra caution — but only if you plan your route around the trap hallways.
