How to Find and Use Every Autumnal Leaf Color in Traverse

Traverse adds four autumnal leaf colors: red, orange, yellow, and brown. Each has matching leaves and saplings, and each generates in autumnal forest biomes. Knowing how to find and use all four makes your builds far more interesting.

Finding Each Color

Autumnal forests generate with a mix of these leaf colors, but the distribution can vary. Walk through the canopy and note which colors appear. If a biome is dominated by one color, travel to another autumnal forest to find the others. Each color has its own sapling, so once you find a tree of a given color, harvest its leaves for saplings.

Collecting All Four

Break leaves of each color until you have at least a few saplings of each. Bring them home and plant them in a dedicated grove. Bone meal speeds growth. Once mature, each tree produces leaves of its color, giving you a renewable source.

Building with the Colors

  • Use red and orange leaves for warm, autumn-themed builds.
  • Yellow leaves work well as accent foliage or to simulate sunlight-dappled trees.
  • Brown leaves are subtle and pair well with fir wood for a muted, natural palette.
  • Mix two or three colors in one tree or hedge for a gradient effect.

Seasonal Builds

Combine all four colors in a single large tree or a decorative wall to create a striking autumn scene. Pair them with fir planks and stripped logs for a cohesive seasonal base.
