Protect Torches from Lava Destruction

Understand Lava Interaction

By default, Glow Ink Torches can be destroyed if lava comes into contact with them. This happens in lava lakes, near lava flows, or in nether environments where lava is abundant.

Plan Safe Placement

When lighting areas near lava, maintain distance between your torches and lava sources. Create barriers using non-flammable blocks like stone, obsidian, or deepslate to separate your lighting setup from lava.

Check Configuration Options

If torch destruction by lava is problematic for your build, the mod includes customizable settings. Review your mod configuration file to toggle whether torches are vulnerable to lava. This allows you to adapt the mechanic to your playstyle—keep it for survival challenge or disable it for creative freedom.
