Getting Started with Throwable Torches

Before you can toss torches, you need to craft them. Throwable torches are made by combining two regular torches in a crafting grid. The recipe is straightforward: place two torches anywhere in your crafting table and you'll receive one throwable torch.

Throwing and Placing

Once crafted, hold the throwable torch in your hand and right-click to throw it. The torch will arc through the air and automatically place itself on a solid surface where it lands. This works on blocks, walls, and ceilings—perfect for quickly lighting up caves or dark corridors without stopping to manually place each one.

The thrown torch behaves like a projectile, so aim slightly upward for distant targets. If a torch lands in water or on an invalid surface, it will drop as an item you can pick up and reuse. This makes throwable torches an efficient way to explore dark areas while maintaining momentum.
