Trim a Weapon or Tool

Prepare Your Materials

Gather the tool or weapon you want to trim, a tool trim smithing template, and one of the 10 trim materials: amethyst shard, copper ingot, diamond, emerald, gold ingot, iron ingot, lapis lazuli, netherite ingot, quartz, or redstone dust.

Open the Toolsmithing Table

Place your tool in the first slot, the template in the second slot, and your chosen trim material in the third slot. The trimmed result will appear in the output slot.

Collect Your Trimmed Tool

Take the trimmed tool from the output. Your weapon or tool now has a visual trim applied based on the template and material you selected.

Different material and template combinations create unique appearances, so experiment to find designs you like. There are over 1200 possible combinations to discover!
