How to Tame and Ride an Elephant

Finding Elephants

Elephants spawn naturally in savannas and jungles. Search open grassland areas or jungle clearings during the day—they're large enough to spot from a distance.

Taming Your Elephant

Approach the elephant slowly and feed it either sugar or bamboo. You'll need to repeat this several times until hearts appear above its head, indicating it's been tamed. Once tamed, the elephant will follow you and won't wander away.

Riding and Control

Right-click your tamed elephant to mount it. You can now ride across terrain much faster than walking. Use standard movement controls to steer. Elephants are sturdy enough to traverse rough jungle and savanna terrain without taking fall damage, making them excellent for exploration and transport across these biomes.

Tips

Keep spare sugar or bamboo in your inventory for long journeys. Their size makes them useful for crossing rivers and navigating dense vegetation.
