Send Infrared Signals Using the Remote Control
Understanding the Remote Control
The Infrared Remote Control lets you fire fixed-value infrared packets directly from your hand without needing a full TIS-3D computer setup. This is ideal for triggering infrared receivers from a distance.
Using the Remote
1. Craft or obtain the Infrared Remote Control.
2. Hold it in your hand and aim at an infrared receiver block or module.
3. Right-click (or use your attack key) to fire an infrared packet.
4. The packet carries a fixed value that will be received by any infrared receiver in range.
Practical Applications
- Trigger remote TIS-3D systems without building complex wiring
- Control multiple machines from a central location
- Create wireless signal chains for automation
- Test infrared receiver behavior during debugging
Notes
The remote sends a predetermined value each time—you cannot customize the packet value from the remote itself. If you need variable infrared output, use an
Infrared module within a full TIS-3D computer instead. Range and behavior follow standard TIS-3D infrared mechanics.
