How to Use Tiny Tools for Building Without Losing Visibility
The Building Problem
Full-size pickaxes and shovels block your view of the block you're placing or breaking, which is annoying when you're doing detailed work like terraforming or redstone. The tiny models fix this by keeping the tool low and out of the way.
Set Up for Building
Switch to first person and hold your pickaxe or shovel. With the smaller model you can see the block face clearly, which makes precise placement much easier. If you build in third person, the tiny model is less noticeable, so first person is recommended for detail work.
Practical Tips
- Bridging: with a smaller shovel or pickaxe, you can see the edge of the block you're standing on, reducing accidental falls.
- Redstone: place repeaters and comparators without the tool covering the connection points.
- Terraforming: see the exact block you're targeting when carving slopes.
- Farming: hoes are included too, so tilling rows is easier to line up.
Don't Forget the Axe
Axes are covered as well, which helps when stripping logs or building with wood — you can see the bark pattern while you work.
Combine With Other Packs
If you use a building-focused pack that changes block textures, load it below this one so the tiny tool models still apply. Test in a creative world first to make sure nothing conflicts.
When It Doesn't Help
If you rely on the tool model to judge your swing timing in combat, remember the visuals changed but the mechanics didn't — cooldowns and reach are identical to vanilla.
