Build a Wireless Redstone Signal Network
Understanding Redstone Pipes
Redstone Pipes transmit redstone signals (0-15 strength) losslessly across your base without physical wire. Each
pipe supports up to 16 different signal frequencies, each corresponding to a dye color.
Setting Up Color Frequencies
Right-click a pipe connector with a dye to assign it a color frequency (the dye is not consumed). By default, all connectors are red. Inputs and outputs of the same color will communicate exclusively—red inputs only send to red outputs, blue inputs only to blue outputs, etc.
Configuring Inputs and Outputs
Use a wrench to designate which end of a connector is an input (receives signal) and which is an output (sends signal). This prevents signal feedback loops.
Practical Applications
Use Redstone Pipes to:
- Control distant farms or machines without redstone dust trails
- Create multi-frequency control systems (e.g., one color for lighting, another for doors)
- Reduce lag in redstone-heavy builds by eliminating long wire runs
Change colors as needed by right-clicking different connectors with different dyes.
