Control Your Mob Farm with Redstone Signals
Toggling Farm Production On and Off
Mob farms respond to Redstone signals, allowing you to pause production or synchronize multiple farms. This is useful for managing resources or timing loot collection.
Applying a Redstone Signal
1. Place a Redstone power source adjacent to or pointing at your mob farm:
- Redstone lever
- Redstone torch
- Repeater or comparator
- Powered block or wire
2. When the farm receives power, it stops producing loot
3. Remove or disable the signal to resume production
Practical Uses
- Scheduled farming: Use a Redstone clock to turn farms on/off at intervals
- Resource management: Pause farms when storage is full
- Multiple farms: Power several farms simultaneously with a single lever for coordinated control
- Automation: Connect to a hopper system with a comparator to pause when storage reaches capacity
Checking Farm Status
Observe the farm block's appearance or listen for production sounds to confirm whether it's actively generating loot.
