Tiny coal and charcoal are the foundation of efficient smelting. Each tiny piece burns just long enough to smelt a single item, eliminating fuel waste.

Crafting tiny variants

To create tiny coal, place regular coal in a crafting grid following the mod's recipe. Similarly, tiny charcoal is crafted from regular charcoal using the same method. The exact recipe layout is shown in your crafting menu.

You can create multiple tiny pieces from a single piece of fuel, making this an excellent way to stretch your resources. This is especially useful early game when you only need to smelt one or two items at a time.

When to use tiny fuel

Use tiny coal or tiny charcoal whenever you're smelting small quantities. If you need to smelt just one iron ore or a handful of items, tiny fuel prevents the wasteful burn-through of a full coal block. Save your regular coal for bulk smelting operations where you're processing many items at once.
