How to Hide Tool Modifications with the Incognito Modifier

Applying the Incognito Modifier

The Incognito modifier lets you conceal all visual effects and textures from modifiers you've applied to your tools and weapons. This is useful for creating a clean aesthetic or hiding your tool's true capabilities.

Steps to Apply Incognito

1. Gather your finished tool or weapon

2. Open a Tool Station

3. Select the tool in the input slot

4. Navigate to the modifiers section

5. Apply the Incognito modifier

6. Confirm the modification

What Incognito Does

Once applied, any visual modifications—colored overlays, glowing effects, texture changes from traits like Autosmelt or other modifiers—will be hidden from view. The tool functions normally with all modifiers active; only the visual indicators disappear. This allows you to maintain a consistent appearance across your gear while still benefiting from powerful modifier effects.
