Upgrade to a Higher Tier Backpack

Understand the Progression

Each backpack tier requires progressively better materials. Tier 1 uses basic resources like leather and wood, while higher tiers demand materials like iron, diamonds, or mod-specific components. Check what materials your target tier requires before gathering.

Gather Tier-Appropriate Materials

Mine or craft the materials needed for your next backpack tier. Higher tiers typically require ores, refined metals, or enchanted materials. Collect enough to complete the full recipe.

Craft the New Backpack

Use a crafting table to create your upgraded backpack following the recipe for that tier. The new backpack will have more storage slots than your previous one.

Transfer Items (Optional)

Your old backpack doesn't disappear—you can keep both. However, if you want to consolidate, you can place your tier 1 backpack in a chest or drop it. There's no automatic transfer system, so manually move important items to your new backpack if desired.

Continue Progressing

Once comfortable with your current tier, begin gathering materials for the next upgrade. This creates a natural progression loop throughout your playthrough.
